How to Test Your Car Battery at Home

If you have been noticing some irregularities with your car battery, then you could be experiencing a failed battery or problems with your electrical system. There are a few different ways to check your battery, but the most accurate and simple way is to get your own multimeter. These are devices that you can purchase at any automotive store, but you can also find them online.

A multimeter will test your car battery's voltage strength. Your battery should be able to hold a 9.6 voltage or above for a car battery to be in good shape. However, your battery needs at least a 12.6 voltage for it to work properly and keep your car going. If you notice issues with your car not starting fast enough, then you may need to replace your battery soon.
