Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. will be moving its headquarters from Cypress, California, to Franklin, Tennessee. This is part of a continuing effort to completely revamp Mitsubishi Motors in the U.S. so that customers get the best experience possible throughout the whole car buying process.

There were several reasons to make the move. Part of this relocation was to further strengthen ties within the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance when it comes to procurement, development, and cost efficiencies. The area is also known for its business-friendly attitudes and growing technology-savvy workforce.

The change in location isn’t the only shift that Mitsubishi has seen recently. The leadership team has seen an influx of new ideas and personnel, with 80% being promoted to the role or being brought in from outside of the company.

"Mitsubishi Motors is changing the way we go to market in the United States, and it is leading to a rebirth of the company," said Fred Diaz, MMNA's president and chief executive officer.  "This is an exciting time for us, with a refreshed leadership team, new-look dealerships and redesigned and all-new vehicles. As we drive toward the future, this is the perfect time for us to move to a new home.  While we say farewell to the Golden State with a heavy heart, we're excited to say hello to Music City."

The move will also relocate all of the corporate departments like sales, marketing, IT, human resources, communications, parts and service, product planning, dealer operations, finance and legal. Though the operations will initially be housed in a temporary office in the area, they will then be moved into a permanent office situation in Franklin, Tennessee.
